We’re on the lookout for a strong Checkout Manager to lead our Front of House team at New World New Lynn. This is a fast-paced, people-focused leadership role where your ability to drive great service, build a reliable roster, and lift team performance will make a real difference to how our customers experience the store.

The role includes:

 

  • Leading the checkout and self-serve teams to deliver warm, efficient service
  • Running a smooth front-end operation across rosters, breaks, refunds, and queries
  • Lifting team performance through regular coaching, training, and accountabilityc
  • Working cross-functionally with online, grocery, and service departments
  • Championing our Customer Promises and driving feedback improvements
We’re after someone who:

 

 

  • Brings calm, professional leadership to a busy environment
  • Understands the importance of team culture and sets a high bar
  • Has strong attention to detail, especially for rostering and compliance
  • Communicates clearly and follows through on commitments
  • Can plan ahead while reacting to what the day throws at them
  • Has lotto experience.

This is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Store Manager. Retail leadership experience is required, and previous checkout or service desk exposure is a strong advantage.
