After doing an amazing job increasing the service levels at our checkouts, sadly our checkout manager is leaving to embark on his next adventure. His exit leaves some big shoes to fill which creates an exciting opportunity for someone new to come in and continue the journey to excellence. You will need to ensure that our customers continue to receive excellent service, while you manage expenses and the checkout team.  Along with previous experience running a customer focused check out team, you are also required to hold a current Manager’s Certificate.

The Role:

• Enhance the reputation of the business by promoting and encouraging best practice levels of customer service. 
• Effectively resolve enquiries and complaints and minimise the number of complaints received going forward.
• Ensure operational delivery standards are met or exceeded.   
• Reinforce and appropriately implement all store policies and procedures that relate to checkout transactions. 
• Maintain security of the front end.
• Process restricted purchases and support the Lotto counter. 
• Act as Duty Manager when required.
• Roster to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times. 
• Maintain checkout related stock and equipment.

• Current Duty Manager’s Certificate.
• Reliable, honest and be a good team player.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Confidence and maturity to work unassisted at times.
• Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
