Checkout Supervisor - Full Time

Reporting to the Checkout Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day to day operation of our customer services team, ensuring all customers experience the highest possible standards of service.

The role requires the delivery of fantastic 'customer service'. This is an excellent opportunity for a person who have the personal qualities already associated with providing excellent customer service and working in a team. The role is very hands on requiring multi-tasking attributes -serving Lotto customers, monitoring self-serve checkouts and supervising the floor.

To be successful you;

• must have supervisory experience (preferred) or be driven to learn how to lead
• a passion for providing excellent customer service,
• be able to multi-task,
• must be able to work one day in the weekend. 
• be highly motivated and enthusiastic.
• excellent communication skills.
• good with numbers and have the ability to follow through in a timely manner. 
• Have an attention to detail. 
• Able to work unsupervised.

• Opening the checkout department to get it ready for the day's trade.
• Keeping on top of customer flow and ensuring appropriate numbers of checkouts are open at all times.
• Ensuring speedy resolution of price enquiry and other queries through effective liaison with all departments. 
• Ensuring the checkout area is kept clean and tidy.
• Assisting customers with the processing of their transactions in the self-scan area where required. 
• End of the day closing of checkouts and Lotto including cash counting and ensuring all tasks completed.
