New World Churton Park is looking for a full time Checkout Supervisor to join our front end team.

This is an important leadership role in one of the busiest and most customer facing areas of our store. We are looking for someone who can lead from the front, support the team and help deliver a smooth, friendly and efficient customer experience.

 

About the role

As Checkout Supervisor, you will help oversee the day to day running of the front end and support the checkout team during trade.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

• Supervising the checkout team during shifts
• Supporting team members with training, guidance and direction
• Delivering excellent customer service
• Handling customer issues in a calm and professional way
• Helping manage workflow, breaks and front end productivity
• Maintaining cash handling and operational standards
• Supporting a positive and high performing team culture

What we are looking for

• Previous retail, supermarket or customer service experience
• Leadership or supervisory experience, or someone ready to step up
• Strong communication and people skills
• Good organisation and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• A reliable and positive approach to work
• Flexibility to work a full time roster, including weekends if required
• LCQ and Managers Certificate preferred
