Checkout Supervisor- New World Startford
New World Stratford is seeking an experienced and motivated Checkout Supervisor to help lead our front-end checkout operations. This is a key supervisory role responsible for ensuring efficient customer flow, high service standards, and a positive team environment. The successful applicant will support the Checkout Manager in the day-to-day management of the department and its people.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the Checkout Manager and other Supervisors to lead the Checkout team.
- Working with the Checkout Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Checkout department.
- Performing a variety of tasks, which may include checkout operating, managing Self-Checkout, packing, cleaning, and trolley collection and Lotto operation.
- Taking sole charge of the Checkout department and being responsible for opening and closing the Checkout department as required.
- Supporting the team to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- Ensuring checkout operations run efficiently and smoothly during busy periods.

- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Experienced in retail, preferably in a position involving responsibility or team supervision.
- Hold a current Duty Managers certificate or have the ability and willingness to obtain one.
