Checkout Supervisor - PAK'nSAVE Hastings

An exciting opportunities have arisen for a charismatic and customer-driven Checkout Supervisor to join and strengthen our Checkout leadership team at PAKn’SAVE Hastings.

The overall objective of the Supervisor is to contribute to management, planning and running of the Checkout Department, as well as operating a till at peak times as an operator - performing the task of your team is essential to teamwork and working by example. This role is also responsible for handling customer enquiries/complaints, overseeing the running of our Self-Scan Checkouts and approving liquor sales.

The days and hours for this position are:

Monday & Tuesday - 5:30pm to 9:30pm (8 hours per week)

Critical to your success in this role will be passion for developing your team and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

The role:

• Motivating, coaching and supporting the Checkout team
• Ensure minimal queues at the Checkout lanes and Self Scan Checkouts by operating till yourself and encouraging more efficient service
• Effectively resolve all customer related enquiries and complaints. Minimise customer complaints received.
• Train and developing new team members as required
• Help to open and close the Checkout Department by handling tills and money where needed
• Facilitate a smooth shift by managing the roster efficiently and ensuring the correct number of team are working to provide top service

• Excellent planning & organizing skills with initiative
• A current General Manager's Certificate and First Aid Certificate - if you don't currently have them, the willingness to obtain them
