Chilled Foods Assistant

Gilmours Manukau is looking for a hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented Chilled Foods Assistant to join our busy team. 

In this role, you aren’t just stacking shelves; you are the guardian of the cold chain. You will be responsible for ensuring our chilled departments are fully stocked, organised, and meeting the highest food safety standards.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Stock Power: Merchandising bulk chilled goods and dairy products.
• Inventory Precision: Rotating stock (FIFO) and managing expiration dates to ensure 100% freshness.
• Cold Chain Excellence: Moving stock from inward goods to the chillers rapidly to maintain temperature integrity.
• Member Service: Assisting our customers with a friendly, "can-do" attitude.
• Health & Safety: Keeping the chillers clean, safe, and organised.

What We’re Looking For

• The "Chill" Factor: You’re comfortable working in refrigerated environments (don't worry, we provide the gear!).
• Stamina: This is a physical role. You’ll be on your feet and lifting heavy wholesale cases throughout your shift.
• Early Birds or Night Owls: Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings or weekends.
• Reliability: You show up on time, every time. Our customers rely on us to be ready when they are.
• Food Safety Savvy: Previous experience in food retail or warehousing is a huge plus.
