Chilled, Frozen, Liquor - Assistant Manager (2IC)
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to support the effective operation of our Chilled, Frozen, and Liquor Departments. This role is integral to ensuring the delivery of high operational standards, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service in a busy supermarket environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Department Manager with the day-to-day management of Chilled, Frozen, and Liquor Departments.
- Coordinate stock control processes, including ordering, replenishment, rotation, and waste management.
- Maintain merchandise presentation in accordance with company guidelines and promotional requirements.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and all relevant liquor licensing legislation.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to team members to support performance and development.
- Contribute to achieving sales, productivity, and service targets.
- Act as the departmental lead in the absence of the Department Manager.
REQUIRED SKILS & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in supermarket operations; supervisory experience highly regarded.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support diverse teams.
- Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environments and perform manual handling tasks as required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
