Cleaning Manager (Night Shift)


We’re excited to announce that New World Te Atatū will be opening its doors August 2026, offering a new full-service modern supermarket and creating 90 new roles for the Peninsula.  

We’re looking for a hands-on Cleaning Manager to help set the standard at New World Te Atatū. If you take pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, are a night owl and enjoy leading a team to deliver excellence...this is the role for you!

  • Full-Time – 9pm to 6am either Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs
  • Unsociable hours allowance

Te Tūranga – About the role

As our Cleaning Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all cleaning operations across the store. You’ll lead a small team, develop cleaning routines, and ensure high standards are maintained at all times.

  • Leading, training, and coaching the cleaning team
  • Creating and managing cleaning schedules and routines
  • Maintaining high presentation standards across all departments
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and food safety requirementsManaging cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Supporting the wider store leadership team where required

He kōrero mōu - About you

  • Previous experience in cleaning commercial buildings
  • Familiarity with ride-on scrubbers would be highly regarded
  • Proven experience leading and motivating a team
  • Happy working night shifts (9pm-6am)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude
  • Great attention to detail and high standards
