Compliance Team leader


The primary role of the Compliance Team leader is to ensure the store meets all food safety, health and safety and council compliance regulations whilst building a positive store culture which values health and safety and food safety.

Key components of the role include:

  • Food Safety - Ensuring all Food Safety records and processes meet the requirements of our Food Control Plan. Where discrepancies occur, you are responsible for undertaking the appropriate Corrective Actions with Department team leaders, which may include retraining of staff.
  • Health & Safety - Increase effectiveness of Health & Safety systems throughout the store. This includes investigating accidents, undertaking hazard reviews, and working with the Health and Safety Working Group and Management Team to continually develop a 'Safety' culture.
  • Prepare for and take part in internal (Foodstuffs) and external Food Safety/Health & Safety audits, ensuring satisfactory outcomes.

You are a person who is driven and ambitious. You will display high presentation standards, honesty and an excellent work ethic. You will be systems driven, have a methodical approach to your work and be able to work efficiently with little supervision. You will be passionate about ensuring our team get home safely every day and that our community has safe food to eat. With a focus on 'thinking customer', success in this role will also require:

  • Ability to manage a workload that fluctuates depending on the day. There will be busy days - you'll be great at prioritising.
  • A co-operative attitude, thinking of the team and the bigger picture.
  • A positive mindset with a solution focus, no question or task is too much.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and maintain relationships, also keeping confidentiality of your work when required.
