To ensure our customers are receiving the best possible experience, both in-store and online, we’re looking for someone with extensive customer service experience and comprehensive leadership capabilities to join our team as our Customer Services Manager. It’s essential that you have experience in financial, operational and people practices that create business success as you’ll be leading a large team across our Checkout and Online (Click and Collect) Departments. You and the job…

  • Provide exceptional leadership of our Checkouts and Online departments, always being above the line and willing to get stuck in.
  • Always thinking customer and ensuring the level of service not only yourself but the team provides is second to none.
  • In it together – whether undertaking administrative tasks or supporting and guiding Checkouts and Online through day-to-day operations, you exude the spirit of collaboration.
  • Adept at coaching conversations that help drive performance and team spirit, you are a people person that brings both energy and calm to situations.
  • Ability to multi-task, work with people from all walks of life, trouble-shoot and remain unflappable under pressure.
  • An understanding of foundational HR practices related to team management and performance.
  • Financially savvy – understands budgets and how to maximise department profitability without compromising on service, safety or culture.
  • Computer literate – you understand systems, are well versed in SAP and are comfortable using spreadsheets to analyse data and present information.
  • You understand the value of team and recognise that you are successful when your team are successful.
  • Physically fit – the role requires you to balance time behind the desk and spending time on your feet, in the departments to help support your team through day-to-day operations including lifting and picking customer orders.
  • Understanding of regulatory practices within a supermarket environment.
  • A vibrant leader – you drive positive team spirit through your own involvement and passion with events, community drives and theme weeks. You can get the creative juices flowing for Christmas Club Day or Checker of the Year whilst fostering the fun in everything our Customer Services team strives to achieve.

  • Have at least two years of checkout management or retail department management experience as well as a Duty Managers license.

 

Days & Hours:

We will adjust these for the right person however it is critical that you are both flexible and reliable with your roster as we operate 7 days a week. You will be required to work one weekend day and do both opening and closing shifts throughout your week as to lead the team we must be seen by the team.
