Our stunning store, in the heart of the magical Mangawhai community, has been operating since October 2022. 

With grocery, butchery, seafood, deli, bakery, produce, liquor, chilled and frozen, online and checkout departments in a beautiful new store, we are bringing a new era of shopping to our wonderful customers!

With are currently seeking a Superstar Deli 2IC / Assistant Manager and dedicated Foodie to join our amazing Deli team!

🥗 The Opportunity

• Deliver exceptional customer service with every interaction, listening to customers needs
• Listen to customers to find out what they want and need in one simple shop
• Prepare, produce and serve our delicious range of Deli offerings
• Work with the Deli Manager to plan and coordinate all facets of the day-to-day operations of the Deli department
• Assist the Deli Manager with staff, production, stock control and merchandising
• Work with the Deli Manager to create and develop new customer offerings
• Ensure staff are well trained to provide the best overall shopping experience for our customers
• Build relationships with the wider team and leadership to get the very best results
• Support the Deli Manager to Lead the Deli Team
• Ensure all Food Safety standards
• are exceeded
• Have a strong Health, Safety and Well-being focus and support the company focus and goals

🔎 What are we looking for

• Proven retail experience in a supervisory, leadership or management role
• Experience leading, motivating and developing teams
• A passion for food and delivery great customer experiences
• Strong communication and proven relationship-building skills
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic
• Reliable, self-motivated and be a good team player
• Confidence using technology and learning new systems
• SAP experience (advantageous but not essential)
