Deli 2IC


We are looking for a motivated and reliable Deli 2IC to join our busy and customer-focused Deli team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for food, customer service, and leadership to take the next step in their retail career.

 

As the Deli 2IC, you will support the Deli Manager in the daily operation of the department and help lead the team to deliver high standards of presentation, freshness, food safety, and customer service.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Deli Manager with the day-to-day running of the department
  • Lead and supervise team members during shifts
  • Ensure products are well presented, fresh, and fully stocked
  • Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge
  • Assist with ordering, stock rotation, and waste control
  • Ensure all food safety and health & safety procedures are followed

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous deli, supermarket, or food retail experience preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is an advantage
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for food and customer service
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
