New World Carterton is looking for a cheerful & reliable person to join our Service Deli & Seafood team on a full-time basis.
As a Service Deli & Seafood team member, you will be working with a committed and motivated team who prides themselves on the quality products and service we offer.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the highest standards for the store's Service Deli operations.
- Setting up the Deli ensuring a visually appealing and inviting presentation.
- Serving customers in the Deli providing personalized and attentive service.
- Assisting with all duties in the Service Deli, including tasks related to customer service, food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Working unsupervised, demonstrating independence and responsibility in your role.
- From time to time, contributing to other areas of the supermarket to support overall store operations.
- Maintain Health & Safety and Food Safety standards at all times.
- Experience and working knowledge of food preparation.
- Physical fitness with the ability to handle heavy lifting.
- Customer service driven – you will spend a lot of time helping our customers.
- Excellent communication skills and be a team player.
- Reliability with a positive attitude, confidence, and maturity.
- A strong work ethic, capable of performing well under pressure.
- Adaptability to meet the seasonal demands of a busy retail team.
Days and hours to be discussed in the interview process, but likely Tuesday to Saturday, 40 hours a week. This may be a mix of early morning shifts, and evenings.
