Deli Assistant - NW Mt Albert (Part Time)

New World Mt Albert is looking for a keen, hardworking and reliable person to join our Service Deli team. Do you enjoy being busy, working with great food and looking after customers?

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, varied environment. You'll be preparing and presenting fresh food items and meals, and serving customers front of house. It takes someone who can think fast on their feet, stay organised, and strive for excellent customer satisfaction every time. A strong focus on teamwork is a must.

The role

12 hours per week:

Monday  3.30pm – 9.00pm

Sunday  10.00am – 6.00pm

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and presenting fresh food items and meals to a high standard
• Serving customers front of house and helping them with their choices
• Keeping the counter and work areas clean, tidy and well presented
• Working as part of the team to keep the section running smoothly through busy periods

What we require

• A reliable, honest team player who works well with others
• A passion for delivering quality products while adhering to food safety regulations
• Delivers strong customer service with a positive attitude
• Willing and able to learn new skills and maintain our high presentation standards
• Experience in a delicatessen or similar food environment is an advantage
• Available to work the roster above
• Eligible to work in New Zealand
