We're looking for enthusiastic Delicatessen Assistants to join our busy and energetic team. We have both full time and part-time opportunities available. Our full-time role is primarily rostered during the day while the part-time role/s are a combination of days and evenings. Weekend availability for both is essential. 

As a Delicatessen Assistant, you'll help ensure our deli department is stocked with a fantastic range of fresh products, beautifully presented, and ready for our customers to enjoy. You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the high standards our customers have come to expect.

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing a variety of fresh deli products including salads, sandwiches, platters, meats, and other specialty items.
• Serving customers in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
• Replenishing deli displays and cabinets.
• Assisting customers with catering and special orders.
• Ensuring products are correctly priced, labelled, and presented.
• Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
• Completing cleaning and housekeeping duties to keep the department looking its best.
• Assisting with stock control and stock takes.
• Supporting other departments when required.

Experience Preferred But Not Essential

• Fresh food, food retail, deli, or hospitality experience.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Knowledge or awareness of food safety practices.

Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
