ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our Service Deli and Bakery retails predominantly pre-packed product.  You will be responsible for maintaining the display cabinets for the departments, ensuring they are well merchandised and attractive to customers.

Daily Production includes but is not limited to hot chickens and small goods, finishing baked pastries, and pizzas from scratch.

Previous experience in a supermarket service deli would be an advantage, as there is potential for this role to take over extra shifts and change it to Full time permanent role.  If you’re someone that loves to look for opportunities for growth in a department and can handle the day-to-day routine of a supermarket deli, this could be the role for you!

 

Key Requirements:

 

• Assisting Baker with pastries and Pizzas
  
• Preparing food and keeping the cabinet full
• Setting up the Deli cabinet
• Merchandising products so they look fresh, appealing, and well presented
• Following all Food Safety procedures and completing required paperwork
• Helping maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic department
• Ensuring ticketing and pricing is accurate at all times

 

HOURS:

This role is 2 days a week, Sunday and Monday mornings.

 

As our service deli/Bakery is a small department, it may be necessary to work additional or alternative days from time to time to assist in covering leave, sickness, busy periods etc.
