Deli / Catering Assistant - FULL/PART TIME

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Deli / Catering Assistant to set the team up for success and deliver outstanding service. This role suits someone who knows a New World deli, can move with pace, and takes pride in safe, high-quality food.

Days and Hours

• Days: Friday to Monday
• Shifts: Either:
  • full time Friday to Monday
  • Part time Friday and Saturday, or
  • Part time Sunday and Monday

Key Responsibilities

• Early-shift prep / cabinet set-up during training; close procedures once competent.
• Customer service at the deli counter: serve, upsell, merchandise to plan.
• Food safety & cleanliness: follow our Food Control Plan; complete temperature, cleaning, waste, and production records.
• Teamwork: support the Deli Manager and help coach newer team members.

We’re Prioritizing

• Recent New World deli experience (highly preferred), or strong deli/foodservice experience in a comparable supermarket.
