Delicatessen Cook/Assistant - NW Devonport

SERVICE DELI COOK

Reporting to the Delicatessen Manager, tasks include but not limited to:

• Making New World Devonport's Own Ready to eat Meals
• Food preparation specific tasks as applicable to the store e.g. cooking chickens / making sandwiches / preparing platters and other customer orders / Slicing Meat / Making Salads.
• Ensure the Delicatessen Cases are appropriately stocked and relevant merchandising standards are maintained at all times.
• Serving/assisting customers
• Handling customer inquiries
• Housekeeping
• Ensure Food Safety standards are maintained through completion of appropriate daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and appropriate temperature checks are undertaken regularly.

Roster will be discussed during the interview.

Related cooking experience necessary. Great customer service skills and flair with food preparation are essentials in this role.
