Customer Service Focused Delivery Driver – Full Time
Gilmours Central is a 100% Kiwi owned and operated wholesale-food and beverage supplier. We take pride in supporting our customers across the Hawkes Bay region.
We are looking for a reliable and customer focused delivery driver to join our busy team in Napier. You will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive their deliveries in full on time and to the expected standards. Since you will be actively involved in interacting with our customers, it is of great importance that you possess excellent communication skills- both verbal and written.
This is a full-time position with 45-50 hours per week.
Driving duties: As part of the role, you will be required to stage your freight in an organized manner and load your truck in the order of your run with the desire to achieve maximum efficiency. Freight is hand-unloaded and trolleyed in to our clients businesses so a reasonable standard of fitness is required.
To be a successful candidate you should have the following:
- Have a Class 2 Learners or Class 2 Full License.
- Good area knowledge of the Hawkes Bay region.
- Willingness to learn and strive for continuous improvement.
- Be safe and take all reasonable precautions to maintain a safe working environment.
- Hardworking, honest and reliable.
- Fit for work. Keeping in mind that most of the freight is hand unloaded into customers businesses. Capable of heavy lifting.
- Computer/Smartphone literate.
- Have reliable transport for commuting to work.
- The role works Monday to Friday with rostered and shared Saturdays from time to time
