Delivery Runner

Gilmours is New Zealand's largest supplier of wholesale food and beverages, and at Gilmours Manukau, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to our local business community. We are on the lookout for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Delivery Runner to join our busy transport team.

As a Delivery Runner, you will be the face of Gilmours on the road. You’ll be partnering with our delivery drivers to ensure our stock gets from the truck to the customer’s door accurately, safely, and with a smile.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Assisting drivers with the accurate and timely distribution and unloading of goods.

   

   

• Diligently completing all delivery checks, including accurate stock counts and securing customer signatures.

   

   

• Building and maintaining great relationships with our customers to support repeat business.

   

   

• Correctly using and maintaining delivery equipment (trolleys, jacks, temperature guns, etc.).

   

   

• Strictly adhering to store Health & Safety and Food Safety policies at all times.

   

   

Our ideal candidate has:

• Experience: 2–3 years of previous delivery or driving experience is essential. Background in customer service is a massive plus.

•  

   

  Fitness: You must be physically fit and healthy, as this role involves heavy lifting and active movement throughout the day.

   

   

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

   

   

• People Skills: A natural ability to build rapport with customers from all walks of life and diverse cultures.

   

   

• Attitude: A flexible "get the job done" mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work autonomously when required.

   

   

• Education: 3–4 years of secondary education is preferred.
