Dry Operations Team Leader

We’re excited to announce that New World Mount Albert will be rejoining the community later this year!  With a brand-new store, fresh fit-out and wide offering across grocery, butchery, deli, bakery, produce and liquor, we can’t wait to open our doors again to the Mount Albert community.

Our opening date is set for August 2024 we are seeking a Dry Operations Team Leader to join us! You’ll play a key part in our journey towards a successful store opening and continuously deliver an awesome shopping experience for our community. 

As Dry Operations Team Lead you will:

• Work closely with the Dry Goods Manager to plan and coordinate all facets of the day-to-day operations of the chilled and frozen, liquor and grocery departments.
• Facilitate stock replenishment processes across the department, leading your team to ensure shelves are replenished and full throughout the day.
• Oversee and manage stock flow and levels in our store.
• Maintain and work to stock control procedures – keeping product maintenance up to date.
• Manage the inwards goods processes.
• Train, mentor and lead your team.
• Identify items through the daily out of stock report that require immediate replenishment.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven retail experience at a supervisor level or higher.
• Experience and understanding of dry goods departments – Chilled and Frozen, Grocery or Liquor.
• Strong experience using SAP.
• Forklift license.
• Financially minded and process driven.
• Great people skills and people leadership potential.
• Reliable, self-motivated and be a good team player.
• Sound computer literacy and keen to learn and use the latest technology.
