Duty Manager - Cambridge New World

At New World Cambridge we pride ourselves in providing an excellent customer experience in our store. We have another opportunity for a Duty Manager to join our team and provide in store leadership to ensure we are providing a great shopping experience for our customers.
In the role you will: -
- Ensure merchandise is stocked and displayed to a high and consistent standard
- Establish and maintain great working relationships with departmental managers and our store staff
- Ensure merchandise, health and safety and food safety compliance
- Circulate the store floor to ensure store appearance is the best it can be
- Lead and motivate grocery store staff
- Deal with customer enquiries, issues and complaints and take appropriate action
- Complete end of day closing procedures on certain shifts
What you need: -
- Great communication skills
- Demonstrated organisational skills
- A passion for retail and people
- An understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety
- High attention to detail
- Previous grocery store experience and a proven ability to lead a team
- Flexibility to cover a range of shifts from 7am to 9pm, including one weekend day
- A Managers Certificate or be suitable to qualify for one
A forklift license or previous forklift experience is preferred.

You must be legally eligible to work permanently in New Zealand and hold a valid current driver's license.
This is a full-time role with rostered shifts which will include a weekend day.
