Duty Manager - Full Time

We’re on the lookout for a capable and reliable Duty Manager to help run the floor in the afternoons and evenings. This is a full-time role, 2pm to 10pm, with a strong focus on team leadership, customer service, and ensuring the store runs smoothly.

You’ll be the senior leader on-site during this shift, supporting the department managers, resolving customer issues, and keeping standards high across the store. The role suits someone with energy, initiative, and a calm, confident approach to problem solving.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the floor across all departments from 2pm to 10pm

   

   

• Support and coach team members to deliver great service

   

   

• Handle customer concerns and issues promptly and professionally

   

   

• Ensure store presentation, safety, and service meet expectations

   

   

• Communicate key updates and pass-downs to the right teams

   

   

We’re looking for

• Proven leadership experience in retail or hospitality

   

   

• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure

   

   

• Strong communication and people skills

   

   

• A calm, fair approach to managing performance

   

   

• A hands-on style — happy to jump in where needed

   

   

• Previous supermarket or Duty Manager experience is an advantage

   

   

• A current General Manager’s Certificate (Liquor) is preferred
