Duty Manager – Brookfield New World, Tauranga

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic, hands-on leader to join our team as a Duty Manager, helping keep our store running smoothly during evenings and weekends.

About the Role:
This is a fast-paced, dynamic position where no two days are the same. You’ll oversee daily operations, support our departments, uphold store standards, and make sure both our customers and team members feel supported and valued.

You’ll be leading and supporting staff across all departments, keeping the store running seamlessly day to day, maintaining top-tier retail and merchandising standards, and managing customer enquiries with professionalism and care. You’ll also take responsibility for health and safety, store security, and assisting with opening and closing as needed.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re after someone with proven leadership experience—ideally in retail or supermarket operations—and a good understanding of store departments, especially Grocery. You’ll need strong organisational and communication skills, the confidence to lead from the front, and the physical fitness to keep up with a busy store environment. A calm, can-do attitude is a must, along with the flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and one weekend day.
