Duty Manager


We are seeking a Duty Manager to oversee our store operations and team, Sunday to Tuesday evenings, with Wednesday and Thursday being a mix of Grocery and Checkouts.

The Evening Duty Manager's role is to ensure the store runs efficiently and is well stocked (offering an appealing  shopping experience for all our customers) in the absence of Department Managers and other members of Store Management. 

The Duty Manager is responsible for ensuring that our store’s appearance, compliance, on shelf availability, and productivity are maintained.

The Duty Manager is responsible for resolving any customer or security issues that may arise, for ensuring we meet our compliance obligations, maximizing team productivity and ensuring that the store is closed securely at the end of the night.

 The successful candidate will have the following skills or attributes:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise different tasks
  • Healthy and physically fit to work in a fast paced environment
  • Reliable, honest and a good team player
  • A self-starter, who is adept at problem solving and has good attention to detail
  • Committed to coming to work every shift with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

The following is advantage but not necessary as full training will be provided to the successful candidate:

  • Previous supermarket experience and/proven experience in a customer focused role
  • Current liquor licence/manager’s certificate
  • Understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety.
  • First Aid certificate
  • Forklift licence

Days of work are Sunday (12.30pm – 9.15pm), Monday (1pm – 9.15pm), Tuesday (12.30pm – 9.15pm), Wednesday (3pm – 9pm) and Thursday (10am – 4pm).
