We are looking for a motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team and play a key role in the day-to-day running of our store. You’ll lead and motivate our team, ensure excellent customer service and product availability, and confidently manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This is a Full-time position, with shifts including one weekend day.

 

About the role

  • Use your skills and experience to delegate and motivate staff to deliver the service and products our customer's demand.
  • React and adjust quickly to changing conditions and priorities, to make effective, calculated and practical decisions
  • Ensure adherence with procedures to comply with relevant legislation

 

What We’re Looking For

Our preference is for someone with existing experience in Supermarkets at a senior level. However, we are open to a candidate with experience leading a team in a volume-centered retail environment or similar industry with responsibility for stock availability as well as levels of customer service.

  • A leader that is passionate about people, and has the proven ability to prioritise and achieve multiple objectives, while maintaining a calm, controlled and pleasant environment that fosters team development and growth
  • Resilient, adaptable and able to manage conflict fairly
  • A Proven record of effective delegation, with close follow-up of standards and timeframes
  • Proven experience with making effective and calculated decisions
  • An exceptional customer service champion
  • Experience working within multiple supermarket departments preferred
  • Physically fit, and able to fulfil the requirements of the role – heavy lifting is required
  • Current Forklift certificate preferred.
  • Current Managers Certificate (Liquor License) preferred
