Duty Manager

New World Te Kuiti is on the lookout for an experienced and dynamic Duty Manager to join our team. If you have strong leadership skills and a passion for excellence, we want to hear from you!

Role Overview: As a Duty Manager, you will be the key leader in the store when Department Managers are absent. Your mission is to ensure an exceptional shopping experience, and the smooth operation of the store. This includes overseeing security, service excellence, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Inspire: Motivate and guide team members to achieve their best.
• Ensure Optimal Performance: Oversee all departments to ensure the store runs efficiently.
• Champion Customer Service: Maintain high standards of service and professional staff conduct.
• Foster a Safe Environment: Ensure a secure and safe workplace for all.
• Resolve Customer Issues: Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Maintain Store Appearance: Regularly circulate the floor to ensure an inviting shopping experience.
• Uphold Merchandising Standards: Ensure attractive and consistent product displays.

• Legal right to work in New Zealand
• Liquor Manager's Certificate (current or previous)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
• Forklift license and First Aid Certificate (current or previous) training can be provided to successful applicant. 
• 2+ years of supermarket experience as a supervisor or Duty Manager
