We are currently seeking an Experienced Butcher to join our team based in the Bay of Plenty.
You will become part of a 200-strong local team, and a wider community of 22,000 Foodies across the Foodstuffs North Island Co-operative. We’ve proudly served the Tauranga community for nine years and are well established at Tauranga Crossing, Tauriko.
We are looking for someone who is:
- An experienced knife hand or butcher, or a recently qualified butcher ready to grow in the trade
- Skilled at working both within a team environment and unsupervised
- Able to produce high-quality meat products
- Customer-focused with strong food safety awareness
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic
- Knowledgeable and passionate about the butchery trade
Key Responsibilities include:
- Breaking, boning, slicing, and cutting all carcasses and meats for sale
- Ensuring full compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements
- Assisting with traying, presentation, and preparation of meat products
- Maintaining high standards with strong attention to detail
