Florist

New Plymouth New World is a locally owned supermarket in the Taranaki Region.

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic florist, who shows creativity, originality, and an eye for detail with floral design and arrangements. You must also be able to work well under pressure and have good interpersonal skills, as you will be an integral part of our Floral/Giftware team.

The position is 30-35hrs and will encompass one day of the weekend.

Qualitative Factors - preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Have the ability to be a self-starter, initiator and willingness to develop
• Have a high motivation level, a drive to achieve results, and add value to the store and customer needs
• Have to be reliable, honest, positive and show integrity
• Have a professional personal appearance
• Answering telephone and email enquiries
• Ability to create appropriate floral arrangements, and develop skills for our giftware and gift basket department
• Have the ability to work efficiently, effectively, and in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
