Four Square Otaika is looking for a Duty Manager to join our team!
About the role:
We are looking for an exceptional Duty Manager who is a true Customer Experience superstar to lead our evening team in our community-focused store. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can motivate, inspire, and energise a team while delivering a consistently outstanding shopping experience for every customer.
As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring customers receive first-class personal service at all times. You will oversee the smooth operation of all departments while on duty, ensuring the store is well merchandised, shelves are full and rotated, and the environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for both customers and staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supervising the evening team, including junior team members
- Delivering exceptional customer service and resolving enquiries or issues professionally
- Ensuring all departments are running efficiently during your shift
- Merchandising the store as required to a high standard
- Operating checkouts and cash handling
- Closing the store securely at the end of the day
- Maintaining strong standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation
Hours & remuneration:
- Up to 40 hours per week
- Evening shifts (finish time 7:45pm)
- At least one weekend shift required
- Pay rate: $25–$28 per hour, depending on experience
We have an immediate start available for the right person. We are also an accredited employer and can consider candidates requiring employment through accreditation, with potential sponsorship opportunities for the right applicant.

What are we looking for:
- A passion for delivering awesome customer experiences
- Ability to lift approx. 20kg’s
- Retail and/or grocery experience
- LQC and managers certificate*
Must have as part of the job:
- Valid Duty Managers certificate or 1 years retail management experience and we can support you to get your Duty Managers certificate
- Experience in management in retail (supermarket ideal)
- Exceptional customer service skills
