Fresh Foods Manager

Are you an experienced supermarket leader ready to take our Fresh Departments to the next level?
New World Pioneer is seeking a motivated and skilled Fresh Foods Manager to oversee our Produce, Bakery, Butchery, Seafood, and Delicatessen departments. This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving excellence in product quality, presentation, service, and team performance.

Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 9.30am – 6.00pm

What the role involves:

• Leading and supporting Fresh Department Managers to achieve sales, gross profit, and service targets.
• Driving high standards of presentation, availability, and customer service across all fresh departments.
• Ensuring strong stock control, purchasing, and supplier management practices.
• Maintaining compliance with food safety and health & safety requirements.
• Coaching, developing, and performance-managing your team to build capability and succession.
• Delivering outstanding customer experiences every day.

What we’re looking for:

• At least 2 years’ experience in supermarket department management (fresh foods experience highly valued).
• Proven leadership skills – able to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy (SAP experience an advantage).
• Physically fit and able to meet the demands of a busy supermarket environment.

Remuneration will be discussed at interview stage and will depend on experience.
