Fresh Foods Manager

Fresh Departments to the next level?
New World Pioneer is seeking a motivated and skilled Fresh Foods Manager
to oversee our Produce, Bakery, Butchery, Seafood, and Delicatessen
departments. This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving excellence
in product quality, presentation, service, and team performance.
Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 9.30am – 6.00pm
What the role involves:
- Leading and supporting Fresh Department Managers to achieve sales, gross profit, and service targets.
- Driving high standards of presentation, availability, and customer service across all fresh departments.
- Ensuring strong stock control, purchasing, and supplier management practices.
- Maintaining compliance with food safety and health & safety requirements.
- Coaching, developing, and performance-managing your team to build capability and succession.
- Delivering outstanding customer experiences every day.
What we’re looking for:
- At least 2 years’ experience in supermarket department management (fresh foods experience highly valued).
- Proven leadership skills – able to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy (SAP experience an advantage).
- Physically fit and able to meet the demands of a busy supermarket environment.
Remuneration will be discussed at interview stage and will depend on experience.
