FULL TIME & FIXED PART TIME Service Delicatessen Assistant - New World Point Chevalier

At New World Point Chevalier, we’re passionate about providing a fresh, friendly shopping experience for our community. To keep delivering delicious food and great service to our customers, we’re looking for TWO fixed term part-time & ONE permanent full-time Service Deli Assistants to join our busy team. You must have a current right to work in New Zealand.

 

Shift 1: Tuesday 5pm-10pm, Saturday 5pm-10pm & Sunday 4pm-10pm (Fixed Term)

Shift 2: Thursday 5pm-10pm, Friday 5-10pm & Sunday 6am-3pm (Fixed Term)

Shift 3: Monday 10am-5pm, Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 1pm-9pm, Sunday 9am-4pm (Permanent Full-Time)

 

The Role

We’re after motivated, reliable team players with a positive attitude who love working with food and creating great customer experiences.
As a Service Deli Assistant, you’ll:

• Prepare, slice, cook, and present a range of deli products (including meats, salads, chickens, cheeses, platters, and sandwiches).
  
• Keep the deli cabinets fully stocked, fresh, and beautifully displayed.
• Serve customers with a smile, providing helpful and friendly service at all times.
  
• Complete temperature checks and maintain food safety and traceability records.
• Follow strict hygiene, cleaning, and health & safety standards.
  
• Assist with stock rotation, labelling, and price integrity to ensure accuracy and freshness
• Support catering orders and customer requests.
• Help with general housekeeping tasks such as washing dishes, wiping benches, and restocking packaging supplies.
  
• Work collaboratively with your team and assist across the store when needed.

• Commitment to food safety and safe working practices.
  
• Previous deli, fresh food, or customer service experience is preferred and will be highly regarded.
