FULL TIME Compliance Manager - New World Point Chevalier

We’re looking for a driven and experienced Compliance Manager to join our leadership team and help lead our store in Food Safety, Health & Safety, and regulatory compliance. This is a key role that ensures our store operates safely, responsibly, and to the highest standards.

Monday - Friday, 40 hours (hours to be decided once successful)
The Role
As our Compliance Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the store meets all food safety, health & safety, and regulatory compliance requirements while fostering a culture where safety and compliance are part of everyday operations. You will work closely with the HR Manager and leadership team to maintain systems, training, and processes that keep our team and customers safe.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and oversee all Food Safety and Health & Safety systems and procedures within the store.
- Ensure the store maintains compliance with Foodstuffs standards, council regulations, and legislative requirements.
- Promote a strong culture of safety and compliance across all departments.
- Work closely with the Store Management Team and department leaders to ensure processes and training meet compliance standards.
- Coordinate and manage health & safety reporting, hazard identification, and accident investigations.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies, contractors, and Foodstuffs support teams to maintain up-to-date systems and processes.
- Oversee product recalls, compliance documentation, and regulatory reporting.
- Ensure machinery, equipment, and operational processes meet required compliance and certification standards.
- Facilitate Health & Safety Committee meetings and ensure follow-up actions are implemented.
- Lead by example and ensure compliance standards are upheld across the store.

Experience and skills:
- FMCG or supermarket experience preferred.
- Previous compliance, food safety, or health & safety experience advantageous.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Computer literate and comfortable working with compliance systems.
- Physically fit and able to meet the requirements of the role
- You must have the current right to work in New Zealand.
