Full time floor assistant

Shop floor assistant needed. 

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable grocery assistant to join our team at Four Square The Lakes! This role would comprise of shifts Monday-Wednesday and Saturday with the requirement to swap/cover shifts other days as necessary. Role would commence Monday the 4th of August. 

About the Role:

As a part of our team, you'll help keep our store running smoothly in a hands on role - unpacking deliveries, merchandising products, rotating stock, serving coffee and providing friendly service to our customers. 

In a small store, you’ll have the opportunity to work and learn across all departments. So you'll need to be organised and ready to work in a fast-paced retail environment. If you’re a team player with great attention to detail and a positive attitude, we’d love to hear from you!

As this role covers hours all times of the day, it is not suitable for high-school students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily store operations
• Deliver excellent customer service
• Cash handling
• Ensure shelves are stocked and displays look great
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards
• Solve customer and staff queries efficiently

About You:

• Retail or supermarket experience preferred
• LCQ / Managers Certificate a plus
• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure
• Basic computer knowledge
• Physically able to lift stock and stand for long periods
• Legally entitled to work in New Zealand (e.g. NZ citizen, residency, or valid work visa).
