FULL TIME Produce Manager - New World Victoria Park

At New World Victoria Park, we’re out here trying to provide a sweet experience to make life easier for the customer — and now we’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Produce Manager to lead our fresh produce department.

Tuesday - Saturday 45 hours

The Role:

We’re looking for someone who’s got a sharp eye for quality, a passion for fresh fruit and veg, and a leadership style that brings out the best in their team. You’ll be running the produce show — from driving sales, achieving GP targets, and controlling costs, through to ordering stock, merchandising like a pro, and making sure everything is fresh, full, and looking top-notch for our customers.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Hitting sales and profit targets while keeping wage costs and expenses under control
• Ordering and managing stock efficiently to maximise freshness and reduce waste
• Building vibrant, eye-catching displays and keeping the department looking on point at all times
• Leading, training, and supporting your team to deliver excellent customer service every day
• Managing supplier relationships, stock credits, and ensuring all quality standards are met
• Maintaining food safety, health and safety, and compliance requirements

You’ll also be part of the wider management team, contributing to our store’s success and culture.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven leadership experience in retail or FMCG (Produce experience is a major bonus)
• A customer-first mindset and a knack for building great team culture
• Strong planning and organisational skills to stay ahead of the game
• A keen eye for merchandising and detail — you love a good-looking display!
• Confidence with ordering systems, stock control, and achieving results through your team
• Physically fit — this is a hands-on role
• Flexibility with hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required
