FULL TIME Service Delicatessen Manager - New World Victoria Park

At New World Victoria Park, we are looking for a Service Deli Manager that can position New World Victoria Park at the leading edge of retailing in New Zealand. 

Sunday - Thursday (hours to be discussed with successful candidate)

The Role:

• Plan, control and lead the day-to-day running of the department
• Ensure the availability and selection of high-quality deli foods to satisfy customer demands
• Learning and development of team - attracting, developing and retaining great people
• Legislative compliance - providing a healthy safe work environment and safe food for sale to our customers and community
• Achieve financial performance of the department
• Manage team members to ensure service and productivity levels are maintained

What are we looking for:

• Previous experience with food and people management required.
• Someone with charisma, determination and exceptional eye for detail
• A person with the drive and ambition to further develop our in store offering of, continental meats, specialty cheese, ready to eat meals, fresh salads, and gourmet foods.
• An ability to listen, advise and come up with commercial, customer driven solutions
• The ability to self-motivate and manage alongside the ability to balance priorities
• You will have a flair for food presentation, great with people management, well organised with good computer skills, and have a high level of customer service.
• Experience in working in a supermarket deli, or similar department is necessary.
• Experience with SAP is preferable.
