Grocery 2IC / Assistant Manager

With are currently seeking a Grocery 2IC / Assistant Manager to be part of the team!

The Role:

• Listen to customers to find out what they want and need in one simple shop
• Work with our Grocery Manager to plan and coordinate all facets of the day-to-day operations of grocery, liquor, and general merchandise departments
• Manage staff, stock, and merchandising
• Ensure staff are well trained to provide the best overall shopping experience for our customers
• Build relationships with the wider team and leadership to get the very best results
• Support our Grocery Manager to lead the team and support other teams as needed
• Have a strong Safety and Well-being focus and support the company focus and goals
• Full time - approximately 45-47.5 hours per week, including a weekend day and being flexible to work around business and team needs

What are we looking for:

• Proven retail experience at a supervisor level or higher
• Strong experience using SAP is advantageous
• Reliable, self-motivated and be a good team player
• Sound computer literacy and keen to learn and use the latest technology
• Great people skills and people leadership potential
• Previous duty manager or sole charge experience advantageous
• LCQ and/or Managers Certificate and experience selling alcohol preferred
