An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated leader to join the Grocery team at Pak'n Save Wairau Road.

Due to the promotion of our current Grocery 2IC within the business, we're looking for someone who is ready to step into one of the biggest and most rewarding Grocery leadership roles in New Zealand.

About the Role

Working alongside the Grocery Manager, you'll play a key role in leading one of the store's largest teams. You'll help drive performance, develop your people, and ensure our shelves are full, our standards are exceptional, and our customers receive the shopping experience they expect.

 

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be out on the shop floor, coaching your team, solving problems, and leading from the front.

Roster:

• Sunday to Thursday
• 3:00am – 1:00pm

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and supporting our Night Fill and Morning Fill teams.
• Working alongside the Grocery Manager to deliver outstanding operational results.
• Driving productivity, merchandising, availability and presentation standards.
• Coaching, mentoring and developing your team to achieve their best.
• Creating a positive, high-performing team culture built on accountability and respect.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and embracing change.

What We're Looking For

• Previous supermarket Grocery experience is highly advantageous.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in a retail or supermarket environment.
• A positive, energetic attitude with a passion for leading people.
• Someone who leads by example and isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive mindset with excellent communication skills.
• A genuine desire to grow both yourself and those around you.
