Grocery Assistant (Cleaner)
Are you someone who takes pride in a job well done? Do you enjoy working behind the scenes to keep things spotless and running smoothly? We’re looking for a dedicated Grocery Cleaner to help keep our Grocery, Chilled, Frozen & Liquor departments sparkling clean and up to standard each evening!
About the role:
As a Grocery Cleaner, you’ll be right at the heart of the action, keeping our busy Grocery, Chilled, Frozen & Liquor departments clean, safe, and ready for the next trading day. These fast-paced areas serve large volumes of customers daily, so your role is essential in keeping things running smoothly and up to the highest hygiene standards.
We have a part-time role available working Sunday to Thursday, 8:00pm–12:00am.

You'll be responsible for:
- Cleaning and maintaining the departments to a very high standard to meet food safety regulations
- Maintaining a meticulous approach with strong attention to detail
- Communicating any cleaning issues or shortages of cleaning products to the Duty Manager
- Adhering to the required cleaning procedures
- Assisting customers with queries when required
- Assisting with the wider operations team where required
About you:

Ideally, you’ll have:
- Experience in commercial or industrial cleaning
- A strong eye for detail and a sense of pride in your work
- The ability to work independently and manage repetitive tasks
- Physical fitness to handle a physically active role
- Reliability, honesty, and a positive attitude
- The legal right to work in New Zealand
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test
