Grocery Assistants – Full Time (2 Positions)

We are currently looking for TWO reliable, hardworking and motivated Full-Time Grocery Assistants to join our team at New World Ngāruawāhia.

This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on stock replenishment, merchandising, stock movement and customer service. You will also assist with deliveries and support other areas of the store when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Replenishing stock and filling shelves accurately and efficiently
• Rotating stock and checking product dates
• Receiving, organising and moving stock safely
• Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries
• Operating a forklift when required
• Maintaining high merchandising and presentation standards
• Assisting with promotional displays and ticketing
• Keeping shelves, storage areas and work areas clean and tidy
• Providing friendly and helpful customer service
• Supporting other departments when required
• Working closely with the wider team to ensure daily store operations run smoothly

About You

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Physically fit and comfortable regularly lifting and moving stock
• Able to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Positive and willing to work as part of a team
• Friendly and customer-focused
• Able to work independently when required

• A current New Zealand Driver Licence
• A current Forklift Licence
• Previous experience in supermarket grocery, warehousing, stock replenishment or retail
