Grocery Assistant

PAK’nSAVE Tamatea is a large employer, and we are looking for people who are interested in joining our amazing team in our busy supermarket. You need to be very reliable and enjoy working alone or with a small team.  Of course, you will be very customer focused and be able to work productively and efficiently while still having fun!

We are a seven day-a-week business, opening between 7am - 9pm, though we operate 24/7. We have various positions available - some positions start or finish outside our store opening hours to ensure we are ready to provide our customers with all the freshest products and widest range possible.

We have various part and full-time positions available, all rosters include at least 1 weekend day, official roster to be discussed at the interview stage. 

About the role;

• Filling and facing shelves across the shop floor
• Stock rotation – making sure products with the earliest expiry dates go at the front
• Cleaning and tidying your area as you go to keep things safe and presentable
• Breaking down boxes and disposing of packaging correctly
• Checking stock levels and reporting gaps or low stock to supervisors
• Working to timeframes – our goal is to have the store fully filled before 7am, and maintained throughout the day. 
• Lifting, shifting, and moving quickly – this is physical work that keeps you on your feet
