Grocery Manager

We’re looking for an enthusiastic andexperienced Grocery Manager to lead our grocery department at New World Ōpōtiki.
About the Role:
As Grocery Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the grocery department, ensuring shelves are well-stocked, displays are fresh and engaging, and our customers receive top-notch service every time they shop with us.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the grocery team to achieve outstanding performance and teamwork.
- Monitor inventory levels to promptly identify and replenish stock shortages.
- Ensure shelves and displays are consistently stocked, attractive, and well-organized.
- Create and manage staff rosters to optimise team coverage and efficiency.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, prioritising the wellbeing of our people.
- Deliver ongoing training and development to empower team members and enhance skills.
- Design and build compelling product displays that drive customer interest and sales.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers to enhance their shopping experience.
- Uphold and enforce high standards of merchandising and store presentation.
- Proven retail or grocery management experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- A customer-first mindset and commitment to excellence.
- Familiarity with ordering systems and inventory management (preferred).
