We’re looking for an enthusiastic andexperienced Grocery Manager to lead our grocery department at New World Ōpōtiki.

About the Role:

As Grocery Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the grocery department, ensuring shelves are well-stocked, displays are fresh and engaging, and our customers receive top-notch service every time they shop with us.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate the grocery team to achieve outstanding performance and teamwork.

   

   

• Monitor inventory levels to promptly identify and replenish stock shortages.

   

   

• Ensure shelves and displays are consistently stocked, attractive, and well-organized.

   

   

• Create and manage staff rosters to optimise team coverage and efficiency.

   

   

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, prioritising the wellbeing of our people.

   

   

• Deliver ongoing training and development to empower team members and enhance skills.

   

   

• Design and build compelling product displays that drive customer interest and sales.

   

   

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers to enhance their shopping experience.

   

   

• Uphold and enforce high standards of merchandising and store presentation.

   

   

• Proven retail or grocery management experience.

   

   

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

   

   

• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.

   

   

• A customer-first mindset and commitment to excellence.

   

   

• Familiarity with ordering systems and inventory management (preferred).
