Grocery Operations Team Leader (Night Fill)

The Role; 

As a Grocery Operations Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in keeping our busy store running like clockwork working across a busy, high-volume department. Reporting to the Retail Operations Assistant Manager, you'll lead the night shift team to replenish stock, maintain product presentation, manage HSSE and Food Saefty requirements and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

This is a full-time, permanent role working Tuesday to Saturday 5pm - 1:30am

Key tasks;

• Leading and motivating a team during the night fill operation
• Coordinating stock movement from storeroom to shelves
• Ensuring stock rotation, product placement, and planogram accuracy
• Monitoring Out of Stock reports and addressing gaps quickly
• Liaising with Inwards Goods and management to meet nightly goals
• Ensuring the team adheres to Health & Safety and Food Safety standards
• Supporting team development and enforcing store procedures

ABOUT YOU

We want someone who leads by example, brings a positive attitude, and knows how to get the best out of their team — even in the middle of the night!

You’ll ideally bring:

• At least 12 months of supermarket experience (Dry Goods preferred)
• Previous leadership experience or clear leadership potential
• Confidence in managing a team and giving clear direction
• A working knowledge of Traffic Management Plans
• An OSH certificate and forklift/reach truck experience (ideal, not essential)
• Great communication skills and strong attention to detail
• The physical ability to handle manual stock movement
• The right to work in NZ and ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
