Grocery Supervisor/Assistant

Pak’nSave Whanganui is seeking a capable and motivated Grocery Supervisor / Assistant to support the day‑to‑day leadership of our Grocery Department, providing hands‑on support to the Grocery Team Leader and assisting with team coordination throughout the day.

This position is well suited to someone looking to step into, or further develop, a supervisory role.

Days & Hours

• Tuesday to Saturday
• 9:00am – 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Grocery Team Leader with daily supervision of the grocery team
• Assisting with task allocation and workflow during shifts
• Overseeing stock replenishment, rotation, and presentation standards
• Stepping into a leadership role from time to time
• Ensuring food safety, health & safety, and store procedures are followed
• Leading by example and contributing to a positive team culture

What We’re Looking For

• Previous supermarket grocery experience (supervisory experience preferred)
• Confidence to support and guide team members
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable, proactive, and solutions‑focused
