Join our Team

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated inventory stocktake assistant to join our supermarket team. As a inventory stocktake assistant, you are responsible for conducting accurate, regular stock counts of all inventory items, including dry goods, fresh goods, and chilled products. You will use SAP and handheld inventory devices to record and maintain product data and uphold the confidentiality of inventory information. You will also be expected to notice trends in inventory issues, support food safety and health & safety practices, and communicate effectively with staff across all departments. Your accuracy in stock counting and inventory recording will be crucial in maintaining precise product numbers, minimising discrepancies, and ensuring our inventory reflects real-time stock levels for optimal store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct accurate, regular stock counts
  • Record and update inventory numbers using SAP and handheld devices
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records
  • Assist with monthly pricing verification and compliance tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality of inventory information
  • Uphold food safety, health & safety, and store policies at all times
  • Communicate inventory findings clearly and promptly to managers and team members, ensuring any discrepancies or urgent issues are reported and resolved efficiently
  • Collaborate effectively with all store staff to support inventory accuracy and smooth store operations
About you:
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to share information clearly with staff and management
  • Confident using computers and technology (SAP knowledge a plus)
  • Great maths skills
  • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Willingness to support other departments as needed

Shifts & Availability

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, totalling 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility will be required to meet key business needs (hours are yet to be determined).
