Jack-Of-All Trades/All-Round Maintenance Assistant

Pak’nSave Mill Street has an exciting opportunity waiting for the perfect candidate!

A great opportunity has come available to join and work alongside a friendly and welcoming team.  We are looking for a part-time Jack-Of-All Trades/All-Round Maintenance Assistant to assist our property manager in the day-to-day maintenance of one of the leading supermarkets in the area.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

• Have good general knowledge in basic maintenance - to be a Jack (or Jill) of all trades
• An understanding of Health and Safety
• Experience using power tools and maintaining equipment effectively and safely
• Have a basic understanding of various maintenance tasks, including the ability to identify whether an issue is related to plumbing or electrical systems etc.
• Be able to work unsupervised & run your own jobs
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Take pride in your work
• Great organisation and time management skills
• Good communication skills
• Be able to follow instructions
• Knowing the supermarket environment would be an advantage, but not essential
• Flexible to work outside of your normal rostered hours of work
• A clean NZ drivers’ license
• The ideal candidate should be physically fit due to the nature of the work
