Kitchen Assistant – Deli / Bakery

Are you passionate about food, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and love being part of a team? We’re looking for an energetic and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our busy Kitchen, Deli & Bakery team at Four Square Onehunga.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll help create high-quality fresh food offerings for our customers, support kitchen preparation, and assist in delivering an outstanding customer experience.

 

What you’ll be doing:

• Preparing fresh meals, bakery items, cabinet food and deli products
• Catering and special promotions
• Helping maintain high food quality and presentation standards
• Kitchen prep, cleaning and stock handling
• Serving and assisting customers when required
• Keeping the kitchen and workspaces clean, organised and food-safe

• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
• Flexible availability including weekends, early starts and late finishes
• A team player who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in

Previous kitchen, bakery, deli or customer service experience is a bonus — but not essential. Full training will be provided for the right person with a great attitude.

• Hold NZ Residency or a valid NZ work visa if applying from overseas
