Meat Packer

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Meat Packer to join our team at New World Whitianga in Whitianga Waikato. As a Meat Packer, you will be responsible for preparing and packing fresh meat products to the highest standards, ensuring our customers receive the best quality produce.

What you'll be doing

• Carefully and accurately packing fresh meat products according to store procedures
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the meat preparation area
• Assisting with stock rotation and monitoring of product freshness
• Providing excellent customer service and responding to customer inquiries
• Working collaboratively with the wider retail team to ensure efficient store operations

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a similar meat packing or food preparation role
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A keen interest in fresh produce and a commitment to food safety standards
• The ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
