New World Point Chevalier - Dry Goods Assistants - Nightfill

We’re looking for motivated and reliable Dry Goods Assistants – Nightfill to join our overnight team.

You’ll be part of the crew that keeps our store moving while most people are asleep – working stock from pallets, cages and the storeroom onto the shop floor, filling shelves and making sure the store is stocked, tidy and ready to go for our customers each morning.

 

Position 1: Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun 9:30pm-7am

Position 2: Mon, Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun 9:30pm-7am

 

The Role

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, getting stuck in and seeing the results of a good night’s work.

 

You’ll be responsible for:

• Replenishing Dry Goods stock efficiently throughout the night.
• Working stock from pallets, cages and the storeroom onto the shop floor.
• Completing allocated aisles and areas within expected timeframes.
• Keeping shelves full, faced up and looking great for the start of trade.
• Following correct stock rotation and checking dates where required.
• Making sure products are filled into the correct locations.
• Maintaining merchandising and promotional displays.
• Identifying and reporting damaged stock, out-of-stocks, ticketing issues and other discrepancies.
• Keeping your work areas clean, tidy and safe.
• Safely moving and handling stock, pallets, cages and equipment.
• Working alongside the wider Nightfill team to get the job done each night.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for people who are reliable, hard-working and ready to get stuck in.

You’ll be:

• Reliable and able to consistently work your rostered overnight shifts.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Productive and focused on getting the job finished.
• Able to follow direction and work to expected timeframes.
• A good team player who communicates well with others.
• Comfortable working independently when required.
• Someone who takes pride in keeping shelves full, tidy and well-presented.
• Safety conscious and confident working around stock, pallets and equipment.
• Physically fit and comfortable with the lifting, moving and repetitive work involved in Nightfill.

Experience and skills:

• Supermarket, Grocery, Nightfill, warehousing or stock replenishment experience would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.
• Good communication skills.
• Good basic maths skills.
• Customer service experience advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to meet the requirements of the role.
• A good understanding of safe manual handling practices.
• You must have the current right to work in New Zealand.
